About REMPEDAAL

Illustrator Rempedaal studied English and history, then became a translator, marketeer, consultant, journalist, composer for film and documentary music, and performer in the uptempo/hardcore music scene. He has lived and worked in Ireland, the US, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Since 2024, he has been drawing for Vrij Nederland, for which he also creates a weekly cartoon. His work has a surreal touch and is characterized by crisp lines and lots of color. 

Rempedaal is also available for commissions. New illustrations regularly appear on Instagram.
